Swine of the Month February, 2005:
Diebold

80% of all votes in America are counted by only two companies: Diebold and ES&S. The vice-president of Diebold and the president of ES&S are brothers. The chairman and CEO of Diebold is a major Bush campaign organizer and donor who wrote in 2003 that he was “committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the president next year.”

I'm not going to cover all the evidence showing that this years election was handed to George W. Bush on a silver platter. But how about just a taste of some articles showing why these theories aren't so much conspiracies as they are real.

Spoiled votes. No Paper Trail. Easily broken security codes. A secretary of state who is also the director of Bush's Ohio campaign. (remember Katherine Harris?)

Why would the Republicans object so strongly to recounts if they were confident that their candidate had won fair and square? Because he didn't! Diebold stole the 2004 election for Bush, and unless we do something about it we're looking at the permanent face of government in this country. bleh.
